I will admit it: this show is before my time and not big enough to have shown up in syndication where I lived so all information on this series is second hand.
I do know it was a spin off of The Danny Thomas Show and that as opposed to spinning off some regular from that show it was rather a case of a character making an appearance on the show and that episode acting as a sort of pilot for the new show.
