The Fairly OddParents is set in the fictional town of Dimmsdale (of which there is a real-life Dimmsdale in Derbyshire, United Kingdom).
These Fairly OddParents (a pun on "fairy godparents"), mindful of their secretive existence, disguise themselves as various animals and objects in public, always with the same peculiar colors to identify the two: Cosmo is always a light green, and Wanda is always a light pink.
Although the Fairly OddParents was not very popular in its first year, its popularity began to catch on later, attracting both a kid and adult fan base.

I always liked Fairly OddParents, because it was such a different and new idea than the other shows on Nick, while it does have some of the typical stuff, it has humor that both kids and adults can enjoy.
When Butch Hartman, creator of Fairly Oddparents, decided to turn Cosmo from a lovable, playful child-man into a total moronic would-be womanizer/jerk.
I watch it sometimes now when it is on, however the thing that ruined this show for me, and maybe many others, is when I came to the realisation that at its very core - FOP a kids show.

Now I've watched quite a few episodes of the show, and it would be impossible to pick out any single episode that really encapsulates the show's brilliance for me, so instead I'll just single out some concepts and characters of which I am quite fond.
They do provide an excellent contrast, though; In these episodes Wanda and Cosmo seem to treat their position as more of a job, lacking an emotional connection to Timmy and even cracking wise when his wishes invariably backfire.
The tone was fairly misanthropic, and while I really enjoy it, I can see why the relationship dynamic among Timmy, Wanda and Cosmo was changed.

Fairly Odd Parents always gets me laughing due to the random comments made by Cosmo and some of the zany characters that pop in to cause chaos or throw a wrench in the whole thing, and now THQ has brought the cartoon series to your GameCube console in their newest title called Breakin’ Da Rules.
It’s got some pretty solid platforming (aside from some weird jumps and some camera issues), and the mixture of various styles and ideas from other titles (along with the comedy aspect of it) provided for an entertaining game all the way through.
