 Princeton University Band - Media
Forming a stout heart on the field, the Band salutes them in their continuing struggle to prove that it's not what you are, but who who you are that matters.

 Farmie: Boogie
This band - which would naturally be called The Farm Band - practiced in relative secrecy (as if anything could be kept secret in a community of gossip) until it was announced that they would be playing their first gig for the community one night in the horse barn.
The original Farm Band had that French horn included, along with two female singers, two male singers, and a bevy of dancing ladies flanking the band and serving as, I guess, go-go girls.
Naturally, all of the musicians and wannabe musicians living on the Farm at the time who did not get picked to be in the Farm Band were highly motivated to form other bands, but there was only so much real equipment and practice space to go around.

Johnny Long - Music Downloads - Online
He formed a band, the Duke Collegians, in the mid-'30s, and replaced Les Brown's group as the official college band after Brown's graduation.
Their movie breakthrough came in 1943, however, when they were featured in the Abbott & Costello comedy Hit the Ice, in which the band played a very prominent role and Long also played one of the movie's two male romantic leads (albeit secondary to the two comedians) in the plot, opposite pop songstress Ginny Simms.
His health declined steadily over the ensuing decade, however, and Long passed away in 1972, ironically just as a wave of nostalgia was reviving interest in the swing bands and the pop music of the 1930s through the 1950s, as a companion phenomenon to the late-'60s oldies craze in rock & roll.

The Farm | Biography | MTV
One of the stranger overnight success stories in pop history, the chameleon-like Farm was formed in Liverpool, England in 1983 by singer Peter Hooton, a onetime youth worker searching for a musical outlet to voice his political concerns.
Eight years after their inception, the Farm finally issued their debut LP Spartacus in 1991; the album entered the British charts at number one, and international deals with Sony and Sire quickly followed.
The band's moment in the limelight was a brief one, however; their next two singles, "Don't Let Me Down" and "Mind," both failed to penetrate the Top 30, and 1991's quickly produced follow-up LP, Love See No Colour, sank without a trace.
