In my opinion, First Circle is the greatest of his works, and one of the most powerful pieces of writing of the 20th Century, at least.
First Circle is a marriage of style and substance made in heaven, or at least, the highest circle of hell.
The First Circle is a story about what happens when the talents of a nation are wasted because those in power happen to be incompetent men (that tends to be generally the case, except New Zealand).

 Teddy Ruxpin
In the mid-'80s Teddy Ruxpin enjoyed his moment in the spotlight as the first circle in the Christmas catalog.
Like Cabbage Patch Kids he proved that he was no one-Christmas wonder, enjoying a run into the '90s spanning 3 sizes and manufacturing configurations.
Like any favorite that shares time on store shelves and TV, children could enjoyed a wealth of Teddy Ruxpin related merchandise like outfits, videos, bedsheets, phones, puzzles, backpacks, ballons and much more.

Marja-Leena Rathje: Folk Legends & Myths
First it was about Tolkien's study of the Finnish language and the Kalevala.
But what particularly struck me as a bit of synchronicity is to note among the numerous great links at the bottom of the article, one to Vikings: The North Atlantic Saga, a Smithsonian website of the same subject, and it is an excellent one, well worth visiting.
the book is aimed at the wide circle of readers interested in the ancient culture of Finno-Ugric regions...Kivikäs considers rock art the silent message of man from behind the thousands of years, to perceive which one needs to relax, listen and see.
