		The Gerogerigegege are a music project of Juntaro Yamanouchi[?].
		Similar inane concepts are rampant throughout the band's catalogue, and often the more ridiculous the theme or packaging of a release is, the more sought after it is by collectors.
		Though they are often categorized with Japanese harsh noise acts such as Merzbow and Masonna, the group is best known for their 1990 CD Tokyo Anal Dynamite[?].

		To like Gerogerigegege is to at least be okay with the sounds of male masturbation, in particular the Japanese term for it "senzuri" (the "thousand rubs").
		Though the least unlikely artist to release a single compilation, Gerogerigegege at least has some consistency in his obsession with noise and self-abuse, and this compilation collects 11 hard-to-find releases from a genre that is known for its limited print runs.
		Gerogerigegege is a serious man and this, in the end, is serious noise.

		I always thought of Juntaro Yamanouchi's Gerogerigegege as a living embodiment of the more scatological Boredoms song titles, and revisiting this rec of outtakes doesn't change my mind, though I am suprised at how great it still sounds.
		Anyway...the Gerogerigegege actually released some rock and even ambient stuff at points (I guess their classic is Tokyo Anal Dynamite), but noise was their, uh, "strength," and Senzuri Power Up is 24 minutes of organ-distending proof.

		Easily the most infamous and well known release from the gerogerigegege, this one really just can't be beat, no pun intended.
		The production is very gruff, although one can make out the drums quite well and the feedback and/or bass add an another layer of sound.
		There is not much left to say other than the fact that this is THE quintessential gerogerigegege release.
