	Don Markstein's Toonopedia: Casper the Friendly Ghost
		It was in the comics that he acquired his family, the Ghostly Trio; his ghost horse, Nightmare; and additional supporting characters such as Spooky the Tuff Little Ghost and Spooky's girlfriend, Poil.
		It was also in comics that he made friends with Wendy the Good Little Witch, who later anchored her own Harvey Comics series.
		Except for a couple of walk-ons by The Ghostly Trio, every character but Casper himself disappeared.

	The Ghostly Trio - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		The Ghostly Trio (known as Fatso, Fusso and Lazo in the comics and Fatso, Stinkie, and Stretch in the 1995 film), are Casper the Friendly Ghost's wicked uncles, appearing in Paramount Pictures' Famous Studios theatrical cartoons from the 1950s.

		It hasn't been obviously re-touched or cleaned up, but it is in no way a terrible video transfer or bootleg VCD - previously the only alternative for getting this many classic Casper cartoon shorts on a disc (although I don't know if they were ever released on LaserDisc).
		Not only is "Casper and Wendy's Ghostly Adventures" an excellent DVD buy, it is a perfect example of fine formatting of these old classics to DVD for a reasonable price.
		This is the real "Casper, the Friendly Ghost" in all his sweet, benevolent 'ghostly' glory.
