Topic: The Glimmer Twins

  , a CurtainUp review
Terry Beaver, the Daniel Glimmer I saw at WTF (review) brought the needed layer of emotion to the role and I feel this The miscasting has much to do with the MTC version's failure to rally the critical community around the play.
Jordan (Jonathan Silverman), the trombonist son of the Glimmer twins' former partner Eddie Shine, is taking care of Martin who is terminally ill. At a wedding Jordan meets Delia Glimmer, Danny's daughter (Alexa Fischer).
The twins begin to swap the tag lines to their favorite old jokes the way they must have echoed each other on horns in their youth.

Boise Weekly - Not Your Everyday Newspaper: Noise: Noise: The Chauffer and the Glimmer Twins
John Booe, Rarig Rasmussen and Todd Schoonover are the original three, and the childhood friends have fondly labeled themselves the Glimmer Twins and the Chauffer, respectively.
Glimmer Twin No. 1 on vocals, keyboard and guitar, Rasmussen had similar things to say about the essence of Band Camp.
Glimmer Twin No. 2 on drums, vocals and harmonica, Booe attributed the band's success and affectionate dynamics to the fact that they don't take themselves too seriously (he swears by Sammy Haggar and the curative powers of a good old fashioned dog pile).

The Glimmer Twins - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Glimmer Twins is a nickname given to Mick Jagger and Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones.
When they refused to reveal their identities, reportedly, the older couple kept asking, "just give us a glimmer" (as in "give us a hint to your true names"), for the couple did vaguely recognize the men from television and tabloids.
Jagger and Richards were so amused by this recurrent request, they began to call themselves the 'Glimmer Twins' when producing Rolling Stones records.

Toxic Twins - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
They were given that name in the 1970s, due to their rampant use of drugs and alcohol both on and off stage, which was a "toxic" combination that almost ended their lives and their careers.
The Toxic Twins were also notably featured in Ted Nugent's book God, Guns, and Rock 'n' Roll, in which Ted praises the duo for coming clean and talks about how they came to his ranch in the 1990s to shoot firearms and spend time with him and his family.
The name "Toxic Twins" may have been inspired by the "Glimmer Twins", the nickname for Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, who they have often been compared to musically.

Glimmer, Glimmer and Shine: review on TheaterMania.com
As of his new Glimmer, Glimmer and Shine, Warren Leight, who won a Tony for Side Man, might consider changing the spelling of his surname to "Lite." This later play has the feel of something written earlier, something by a novice testing the waters.
There are the Glimmer twins, Martin (John Spencer) and Daniel (Brian Kerwin), who have been estranged since the latter married the strong-headed, apparently jazz-hating Martha sometime in the late '50s.
The third musician is trombonist Jordan Shine (Scott Cohen), whose dad was Edward Shine of the supposedly renowned Glimmer, Glimmer and Shine band.

Neither trendy nor retro, The Glimmers have a passion for pleasing the crowd with their impeccable music taste and ultra-smooth mixing style.
Far from being the faceless and featureless linear DJ mixes of old, The Glimmers have invested their DJ-Kicks debut with a musical schizophrenia that would be certifiable if it weren't so goddamn funky.
