		“The Grand Wazoo” is hands down my favorite Zappa album, and I love to hear this ridiculously huge band tackle the title tune and “Calvin and His Next Two Hitchhikers” (the 9/16 “Wazoo” has one of the sickest horn solos I’ve ever heard).
		FOR CALVIN AND HIS NEXT TWO HITCHHIKERS- Essentially performed as on “The Grand Wazoo”, with the standard deviation coming in the occasional random blowing, and a somwhat lengthy horn solo in the middle of the tune.
		GRAND WAZOO, THE- "There is no scientific explanation for this, it is simply a shuffle".

		FZ signed my cover of The Grand Wazoo at a concert in Troy, NY in 1976, and Ernie Watts signed it after playing a concert with the jazz big band I play in, several years ago.
		I love the shuffle feel of the tune "The Grand Wazoo", and "Eat That Question" excites me not only because it has such a heavy feel for this particular band, but because its intro proudly presents the arrival of someone who is arguably the finest keyboard player Frank ever worked with: the marvelous George Duke.
		It is really too bad that Frank couldn't feasibly tour this Wazoo Orchestra more than he did, because this music is just as unique and exciting as the "Yellow Shark" material he did with the Ensemble Modern.

		"The Grand Wazoo" sounds like a '70's theme song (I imagine the Beastie Boys "Sabotage" video as a companion piece to this tune)- ambitious, musically humorous, and deliciously over-the-top.
		When we are dropped off into the lengthy solo section, the sense of space is immense, with Aynsley and the percussionists keeping very busy, yet still leaving lots of room for the two soloists to explore their instruments to the fullest.
		THE GRAND WAZOO- This was also only performed during the Fall '72 Grand Wazoo tour, and typically contained some outrageous solos.

		This is a test pressing of the Grand Wazoo album by Frank Zappa released in 1972.
		My LPs of Apostrophe (') and The Grand Wazoo have a German sleeve (made in Germany by Kinney Music), but have a Dutch label (made in Holland by NV Negram-Haarlem), and that's the way I bought them.
