The Green Book - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Green Book is also the title of a children's book by Jill Paton Walsh.
The Green Book (Arabic الكتاب الأخضر) is a book written by the Libyan leader Muammar al-Qaddafi, first published in 1975, outlining his views on democracy and his political philosophy.
The book is controversial because it completely rejects modern conceptions of liberal democracy and encourages the institution of a form of direct democracy based on popular committees.

Anna Katherine Green   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-21)
Green's novels also suffer in modern eyes by their general lack of puzzle plots, although there are some good puzzles in her shorter fiction.
Green shows plenty of gusto, too, in Book 2 of The Leavenworth Case, with a kind of plotting later standard in the mystery novel, but probably innovative in its day: the gradual unveiling of a buried situation, piece by piece.
Green's "The Second Bullet" shows a technique in which one mystery is explained, leading to revelations of the inner situation of a mystery, followed by stripping away a second layer of revelations, and so on.

It's not easy being green, but a small and growing number of authors are asking publishers to print their books on environmentally friendly paper.
It reflects a growing green movement in the entertainment world that includes musicians such as U2 and Bonnie Raitt, who are packaging their CDs in recycled materials.
Greenpeace wants book paper to be 100% recycled or, at least, a combination of recycled paper and wood pulp not harvested from old-growth or endangered forests.

Times & Seasons » Book Review: Green Eggs and Ham
However, the fact that the ham is green indicates that the pig from which it came must have undergone some sort of genetic modification, and if the modification extended to making the pig chew its cud, then the meat would no longer be prohibited.
Maybe by “green,” the author really meant “white and delightsome,” while maybe by “ham,” the author really meant the meat from one of those South American llamas that the natives were apparently riding.
The unique color of green is thought to be inappropriate for meats and therefore is viewed as undesirable for consumption.
