Heroic Trio is a gonzo superhero epic in the Hong Kong style.
In Heroic Trio he is totally mute, which seems to be a waste of his talents, though his facial expressions whenever his fingers are chopped off are pretty funny.
Nonetheless, Heroic Trio is a stylish, engaging film with plenty of action for those of you who tune in just for the martial arts.

 The Heroic Trio
This is a super hero movie the way it should be done; instead of relying solely on special effects to deliver the goods, it mixes in solid choreography, acting and superb human stunts.
Set in modern day Hong Kong, “The Heroic Trio” revolves around three female superheroes, each, originally, with her own interests, each leading them to defeat evil.
“The Heroic Trio” is Tai Seng’s first DVD release, and it has not failed to impress me with its quality and the effort put into this release.

Michelle Yeoh is Invisible Girl, who starts off as a lackey of the eunuch but eventually sees that she doesn't have to follow such a dastardly fellow.
The Heroic Trio has great action courtesy of Ching Siu-Tung, and the story and cinematography are enjoyable in an urban fantasy sort-of-way.
Against the two heroes is Invisible Girl (Michelle Yeoh), who's working for the Master and is assigned to watch over a young scientist (James Pax).

in my opinion, Heroic Trio is a great classic martial arts action movie to get people started on.
The jam-packed, high powered, whole hearted structure of this film ranks it on my top ten list for adventure and action films, leaving me with a feeling of great glory and excitement by the end.
Even though it is well known that most action stars in HK cinema perform their own stunts and fighting, one is left in awe by the heroics, amazing martial arts, and wire stunts performed by Michelle, Anita, and Maggie...

  [KFCC] Heroic Trio Review
Review: Heroic Trio is a movie of the genre we like to call Comic Book Action, the name for the genre comes from the fact that the characters, story and general setting is the kind of thing you would find in a comic book.
One of the heroes does use guns but its seem like a mix of kung fu and gun fighting, looks very cool when Kung Fu is done with an M60 in hand.
Heroic Trio is the kind of movie that if someone who has never seen HK cinema, sees it for the first time they will simply find it stupid (in the sense of something not serious).

Hang on to your seats as The Heroic Trio with their arsenal of traditional martial arts sorcery and weapons of modern warfare, wage special effect laden battles against the baby stealing Demon-Lord of the Underworld, and his sinister army of assassins.
Heroic Trio is a truly unique film with top tier talent in front of the camera, a distinct visual style, and production values the likes of which are rarely seen in Hong Kong cinema.
Filmmakers attempt to bring these imaginative heroes to life with the same energy and artistry as their creative brethren in the comics field but, unfortunately, fail far more often than they succeed.

"Heroic Trio", from director Johnny To Kei-Fung ("A Chinese Ghost Story", another Fant-Asia classic) features three of the top actresses in the Hong Kong film industry.
Anita Mui is a veteran of Hong Kong cinema, having appeared in a wide range of genre films, from action (such as Jackie Chan's "Rumble in the Bronx" and "Drunken Master II") to drama ("Rouge").
However, keep in mind that HT is not suitable for all audiences, given some scenes with brutal violence, such as a demon (Anthony Wong, who has also appeared in the Hong Kong action classics of "Full Contact" and "Hard Boiled") that decapitates his victims.

 Heroic Trio
Something about The Heroic Trio titillates the lingering adolescence in me. Maybe it's three beautiful women flying through the air with more grace than hoard of traditional action heroes.
Heroes dress in the wackiest latex costumes, a mysterious society fulminates from the bowels of the city and good and evil fight a battle for the sole of man. The three actresses that form the trio Anita Mui, Maggie Cheung and Michelle Yeoh each have their own appeal and form a nice balance.
Director Johnny To keeps the pace swift and while some of the cuts may be confusing, after a bit one relaxes to the unique Hong Kong rhythms of this film.

 The Heroic Trio
In any event, The Heroic Trio is one of those Hong Kong fantasy movies that people lavish praise on because they're way too impressed by actresses in tight clothes flying around on wires.
The movie tries to give its typical demons-from-the-underworld-battling-to-conquer-our-planet fantasy movie, a comic book sheen as they have the three lead female characters all saddled with super hero names, two of which are already in use in major comics.
They even give you scenes of these kids wetting themselves as they die, but the movie has been such an inept experience, you're not even moved enough to be outraged, you're just wondering how long it is from being over now that the whole mission has crapped out.

His disaster scores of the early 70's often combined his orchestral and pop influences together, as heard popularly in The Towering Inferno and The Poseidon Adventure, and in 1975, Williams' Jaws won him his first dramatic score Oscar and for film buffs, ushered in the renaissance for good.
It wasn't until his trio of famous adventure/fantasy scores in the late 1970's, though, that the public fully embraced the move.
With Star Wars, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and Superman revealed to audiences within a year's time, Williams cemented thematic orchestral works as the must-have for studios of Hollywood's Bronze Age (largely consisting of the 1980's in the last years of the pre-digital era).

The righteous heroine Wonder Woman (Anita Mui) is hot on their trail and eventually recruits Invisible Woman and the rebellious Thief Catcher (Maggie Cheung) in order to defeat Evil Master.
