The Nimons are pretty scary - at least I thought so - or at least the thought of them was scary.
Horns of Nimon completes the trilogy though after Creature and Nightmare did the show no favours what so ever.
The plot is very thin on the ground, and when you have shots of someone walking through the Nimon’s maze before cutting to another scene (or in some cases, back to the same scene) you know they must be struggling to flesh it out to make up four episodes.

They normally infiltrate planets by sending one of their kind on from their previous location, this Nimon claiming that they were the sole survivors of their race, and promising the people of the new planet advanced technology in exchange for 'sacrifices' from other planets.
Romana discovered the capsule the Nimon had used to travel from their previous conquest - the planet Crinoth - and, with the aid of the last survivor of the planet, managed to acquire a weapon that could be used against the Nimon.
Since the Nimon hadn't 'topped Grayle up', as it were, he was still mortal at this time, and as a result, he was killed by his past self, who refused to let himself become that thing that had lost all knowledge of love and honour.

Interestingly, before she even sees the Nimons, Romana says that the Nimons could be an insecure race, and that could tie with the idea that they are too horrific for themselves.
The Nimon themselves are impressive up to a point, their heads working better than the rest of them; although vocally they are very striking.
