“The Howling Man” is an episode of the American television anthology series The Twilight Zone.
The man claims to be a prisoner of an insane religious order, locked up because he kissed a girl.
Ellington is seen talking to the prisoner, and is taken to a meeting with the leader of the order, Brother Jerome, who explains that the prisoner is not a man, but rather the devil himself.

Thus man can become what God intended him to be: the human expression of the divine life, the means by which the invisible God is made visible in human affairs.
This idolatry of man has been building up throughout the centuries and is rapidly approaching the crisis when it will manifest itself, as the Lord describes, in a clear symbol of the times.
Because of the abysmal lie that man can be his own god, that we have somehow in ourselves the adequate resources to satisfy, that we can find in some busy round of activity or pleasure that which meets the deepest need of our heart.

 The Howling
One of the primary attractions of The Howling is that while a fair amount of the action is simple, straightforward horror designed to make you jump out of your seat, there's also a cuttingly satirical edge to the proceedings that really helps the film's overall tone.
There are some flaws to be sure, but for the most part the makeup is of a high enough quality that the man to wolf scenes are pretty convincing and the other material is fine as well.
All in all, then, as a film The Howling is an ideal representation of the era of early 1980s satirical horror.

Somehow, Hagerty is a man who has achieved notoriety for being in the wrong places at the right times: He’s famous in the rock world, in spite or because of the fact that his records are, at best, an acquired taste.
As the auteur and only permanent member of The Howling Hex, Hagerty is more prolific than ever, releasing nine full-length albums in five years, three of which are limited editions now out of print.
