| | The Incredible String Band |
 | | The Incredible String Band was certainly there before Steeleye Span, and before Fairport Convention, and before the Strawbs, but whether there was somebody on that same circuit before the ISB, I don't know, and at this time in my life, don't even want to know. |
 | | Williamson and Heron are fine songwriters in their own right, and their numerous "stylizations", while they certainly are little more than that and, in my humble opinion, do not convey the required medievalistic atmosphere as well as those of their successors, are always pleasant, sometimes memorable, and, on rare occasions, brilliant. |
 | | Actually, coming off from a few extra bits of info about the band, I'm surprised to learn that it was Palmer who was the "glue" holding the trio during these first three years, with Heron and Williamson practically hating each other. |
