The Kinslaying at Alqualondë is an episode related to J.
The Sack of Doriath where Dior was killed by the Sons of Fëanor is referred to as the Second Kinslaying in the Silmarillion, and the attack by the Sons of Fëanor on the Mouths of Sirion where Elwing was attacked is called the Third Kinslaying.
The civil war in Gondor in the Third Age called the Kin-strife is also called sometimes called a Kinslaying.

 Galadriel
Galadriel did not participate in the Kinslaying, and she may even have tried to stop Feanor to no avail.
After the Kinslaying, the Vala Mandos appeared and told Feanor and his followers that if they continued on their quest, they would be exiled from the Undying Lands.
She refused to speak of the Oath or the Kinslaying or of Feanor's betrayal, but Thingol later learned the full story from Galadriel's brother Angrod.

Finrod and the Kinslaying [Archive] - The Barrow-Downs Discussion Forum
I think that it could be said also that Finrod had fallen because even thought he knew about the Kinslaying, he let his pride get the better of him and still followed the Kinslayers to ME. His father repented after the Doom of Mandos was uttered, Finrod didn't.
Moreover Fingon and Turgon, though they had no part in that deed, were bold and fiery of heart and loath to abandon any task to which they had put their hands until the bitter end, if bitter it must be.
It's not that we (the Elves) are guilty of eating the apple (participated in the Kinslaying) ourselves -- it's just that the epitome of humanity, the foremost being created of God, Adam himself (Feanor himself) demonstrates that humans (Elves) are capable of disobedience and evil.

  Kinslaying
The Kinslaying at Alqualondë is an episode related to J.
When Fëanor left Aman he needed ships to get to Middle-earth without great loss.
So it ended up that Fingon's Noldor bitterly slew many of the Teleri, and Fëanor's Noldor won the ships, only to be cursed by Mandos.

 Stannis II
As for kinslaying, there still is the issue of whether the death must be caused by one's own hand in order to be considered kinslaying.
I say that kinslaying, while taboo, isn't the heinous offense that violating guest right is. After all, we've heard of no stories in which the gods punished the kinslayer, yet the tale of the Rat Cook seems to be a common one.
The notion of kinslaying is indeed driven by more rational guidelines than I would have thought...so I guess my 'either Stannis or Renly would both have been kinslayers, or none of them' dichotomy was wrong - or at least there are differences in degree.

 The Deep Elves
The victims of the Second Kinslaying were the Sindar of Doriath.
The victims of the Third Kinslaying were the people of Sirion, who were mostly refugees from Doriath and Gondolin, and so included both Sindar and Noldor, living as one people.
In fact, a majority of the Noldor in Beleriand were probably dead by the time of the second Kinslaying, considering that it occurred only after both the Nirnaeth Arnediad and the sack of Nargothrond.

Himring - The Lord of the Rings Wiki
After the drowning of Beleriand at the end of the First Age, the peak of Himring remained above the waves, known as the isle of Himling.
The fortress on Himring was built when the Sons of Fëanor went east after Thingol became aware of the Kinslaying.
It was the chief fortress of Maedhros, from which he guarded the northeastern border region that became known as the March of Maedhros.

Entmoot - Chapter 15, "Of the Noldor in Beleriand."
Although the children of Finarfin did not take part in the Kinslaying, it says, that not all of the Noldor were guiltless, meaning the house of Fingolfin.
He was at the back of the great host, and the Kinslaying was already over, I believe, by the time he came upon it.
There were three kinslayings: The first in Alqualondë, the second in Doriath between Fëanor's sons and Dior's people, and the third by the mouths of Sirion, again caused by Feanor's sons against Elwing and her people.

 The Wars of the Glorfindels
He had to be one of the Exiles, moved by Feanor's demand that the Noldor follow him back to Middle-earth.
He probably did not take part in the Kinslaying at Alqualonde, since of Fingolfin's host only Fingon's people helped the Feanorians directly.
So Idril was born during the sojourn through Araman, after the Kinslaying.

 Third Kinslaying
In 495 when Nargothrond fell, those few who may have escaped the Battle of Tum-Halad sought the Havens at Sirion or went into the guarded realm of Doriath.
The next disasters to befall the Elves in 503 was the slaying of Thingol in Doriath by the Dwarves, the departure of Melian, and the final ruin of the realm in 507 with the Second Kinslaying, when the sons of Fëanor attacked Dior.
Elwing fled to the Havens at Sirion, aided by faithful Elves, and with her was brought the Nauglamir with the Silmaril.

Finarfin started on the road east with his brothers, but after the kinslaying at Alqualonde, he forsook the journey and returned to Eldamar to rule as High King of the Noldor.
Near the end of the First Age, he led the Noldor to Middle-Earth in the War of Wrath after which he returned to Aman and ruled the remaining Noldor.
