The Korea Times - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Korea Times is the oldest of three English-language newspapers published daily in South Korea, along with The Korea Herald and JoongAng Ilbo.
Despite its longer history, The Korea Times has lost readers in recent years to both The Korea Herald and The Joongang Daily, which is sold together with The International Herald Tribune.
The Korea Times continues to use the old McCune-Reischauer romanization for Korean placenames, such as Pusan and Taegu, instead of the official revised romanization of Korean.

Asia Times - North Korea's case for nuclear weapons
These analysts argue that once the US offers North Korea a sizable economic package and a non-aggression pact, Pyongyang will abandon its nuclear program; in fact, according to this argument, it is not in Pyongyang's national interests to develop such weapons, as it would only further alienate neighboring countries as well as the United States.
North Korea is certainly not China; yet if Pyongyang were able to develop a large nuclear arsenal with second-strike capability it would reduce the risk of attack by the United States and other adversaries.
However, that is not to say that a nuclear-capable North Korea would not have a negative impact for the region.

The Bush administration's claim this week that North Korea appears to have been the supplier of converted uranium to Libya is based on evidence that could just as easily point to Pakistan, a key U.S. ally, as the source, according to analysts and officials familiar with the data.
North Korea has natural uranium, but there is no direct evidence that it can convert the material to UF6, a gas state that prepares the uranium for enrichment.
Another theory is that North Korea sold raw uranium to Pakistan, which converted it to UF6 and sold it to Libya.
