	The Last Blade - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		The Last Blade (月華の剣士: Gekka no Kenshi), or LB for short, is a fighting game series created by SNK for the Neo-Geo arcade and home system.
		The Last Blade's gameplay was characterised by 2 selectable fighting stances, and a unique combo system along with a "deflect" or "parrying" system which proved to be much more forgiving in terms of timing than similar systems from other games (see Street Fighter III and Garou: Mark of the Wolves).
		Just as Nobuhiro Watsuki's Rurouni Kenshin series was inspired by Samurai Shodown, The Last Blade series were SNK's way of returning the favor, with the same time period, many similar moves, and character designs which bear a remarkable resemblance to those seen in the well-loved anime and manga series.

		Last Blade 2 still stands in the shadow of it's older brother, the original Last Blade and has suffered the sharp tongue of many a critic.
		Last Blade 2 has had some of the worst reviews I have ever seen and has unfairly been overlooked for far too long.
		Although not the best port the world has seen, Last Blade 2 for the Sega Dreamcast is a GREAT pick-up and should be required playing for those who don't own a 'real' copy of the game.

		After playing the original Last Blade, I didn't think SNK could improve upon a game that is widely considered the pinnacle of 2D weapon-combat fighting games.
		Weighing in at a whopping 554 megs, The Last Blade 2 (Also known as Bakumatsu Rouman Dai Ni Maku: Gekka No Kensi in Japan) involves a level of skill and playability that gamers always dream about in their fighters.
		I guess my only gripe about the art (and this is very minor) is that the characters don't have their own backgrounds anymore, whereas in the previous Last Blade each fighter had a personalized stage.

		Moriya get props for having johnys mist finner first.(many of the people who worked on last blade worked on ggxx).My personal favorite was setsuna, hibiki, moriya.
		I have Last Blade 2 on the Dreamcast, and to me it felt more like a "King of fighters with swords".
