		The Librarian first appeared in the second novel of the series, The Light Fantastic[?], in which he was transformed into an orangutan as a side-effect of a powerful magic spell.
		The Librarian is known for his violent reaction whenever he hears anyone refer to him as a " monkey ".

		We recently received a very early copy of the new Discworld GURPS roleplaying game from Steve Jackson Games, although presumably the finished product will have the pictures in it and won't be on photocopied paper.
		The Discworld is a fictional place and therefore anything can happen (would you seriously accept that a rather large skeleton who's good with a scythe is really called "Bill Door"?) but it's this fiction that enables it to be used as a vehicle to show us what a crazy world we happen to live in.
		The only direct contradiction to Discworld principles is that the cold mountain air supposedly makes trolls less intelligent whereas in "Men At Arms", the exact reverse is true.

		I think the publishers were banking on the fact that the Discworld Fans would buy it regardless.
		I found it a tad easy, and therefore made it slightly too short, as with previous Discworld Games, Act 1,2 and 3 were of a decent length, followed by a truncated 4th Act.

		There have been Two CD's of Discworld related music released, (at least in the UK), and at least two songs inspired by lyrics from the books, as well as numerous Filks from the newsgroup Alt.Fan.Pratchett.
		Entitled From The Discworld, it was a CD containing music mostly instrumental in nature, (although there are two songs on it).

		Pratchett returns to his first Discworld protagonist, the inept and cowardly wizard Rincewind, who habitually runs into trouble as fast as he flees.
		The reason for Rincewind's problem is not explained at any stage (why the librarian changes shape, why the wizards' presence in the past is causing the present to shift at random, why it doesn't rain, etc).
