Literary Weblogs: An Overview - the complete review Quarterly
Literary weblogs continue to proliferate (and existing ones continue to shift in character (and quality)) and merely updating this Overview is no longer feasible.
Similarly, even a large, ongoing literary debate can be better summed up on a fixed page rather than in an ongoing blog -- see for example our piece on the Oprah-Franzen debacle, A Book, an Author, and a Talk Show Host and specifically the still occasionally updated links-list at the end of the piece.
The focus of MobyLives is entirely literary, and it offers all types of literature-related links: publishing and bookselling industry news, a great deal of book and author news, extensive coverage of all the fun literary controversies (the Oprah-Franzen brouhaha, the epidemic of plagiarizing historians, etc.), and more.

 SOAS Literary Review
This issue of SOAS Literary Review is based on a selection of papers presented at a postgraduate conference held at SOAS on 13-14 September 1999 entitled 'Textual Space: the Geographies of Modern Literatures in Africa, Asia and the Middle East'.
Whilst not wishing to argue that social space does not determine literary production, this conference intended to look at the spaces within the literary text in order to appreciate 'literary geography' as a process through which social agents construct and contest their sense of place.
It emerged during the conference that one way to expand on the idea of 'textual space' in interdisciplinary terms would be to address the work of geographers that engages with literary texts.

The Hindu : Literary Review / Book Review : Gender counts: for better or for verse
The author attacks categorisations that operate in literary studies, over-views and reviews which feature the work of women as a group found almost always in the last chapter — as if they were products of some quarantined sub-creative culture.
Acknowledging the fact that literary criticism shapes canons, the author realises well the importance of discussing the work of poets who may slip out of sight if there is a lack of published criticism.
It is sobering to realise that almost all creative and critical work on gender continues to be an outcome of female anger and anxiety of survival.
