It's very old but it is an animation and the movie starts out as amovie that looks like it takes place in England or something like that.
In the end of the movie the little mermaid jumps off the boat to her death because the (prince) is with some one else so instead of stabbing him with the dagger she jumps off her boat.
I know it sounds really horrible but the movie is really very good and I think that Disney coppied this movie because every thing is the same.

I own new The Little Mermair part one and there is a big difference in color.
There were a few aspects of it that I thought were better than the original movie, but I have to say that this movie overall wasn't as good as the original as expected since no sequel is as good as the original.
Ariel and her husband, Prince Eric, have a little problem with their daughter, Melody, in the sequel to Disney's landmark The Little Mermaid.

The Little Mermaid revisited more than 10 years later....Ariel has a daughter, Melody, who has no knowledge of her mom's mermaid ancestry.
It's basically the same plot as the first movie - Ursula's sister wants to rule the sea and uses Melody's desire to become a mermaid to her advantage.
While the movie is predictable, there were certain parts that gave me a warm glow.
