SCREEN IT! PARENTAL REVIEW: CHICKEN LITTLE
It's been a year since Chicken Little (voice of ZACH BRAFF) caused a panic in the otherwise peaceful town of Oakey Oaks by claiming that the sky was falling.
BUCK is Chicken Little's dad, a one-time high school baseball hero who wants to support his son, but feels embarrassed and let down by his alarmist reactions and behavior.
Chicken Little urges the townsfolk to run and see the alien spaceship, but it takes off and turns invisible just as they get there (this will be tense for kids who will want Chicken Little to succeed to prove he's telling the truth).

Little (Hugh Laurie and Geena Davis) decide to adopt a child and when they arrive at the orphanage they immediately fall in love with an adorable little boy called Stuart.
Their older son George (Jonathan Lipnicki) has some issues with his "little" brother however and it takes some while for him to get used to the fact that Stuart can be a lot of fun despite his little size.
A world shatters for the Littles and the little mouse alike and on different ends of town, they work on plans to reunite the family once and for all.

 Chicken Little Review - GamersHell.com
Fortunately for us, Chicken Little is the star of a Disney film and as such, he is sentient, maneuverable and he can talk.
Through these scenes we learn that Chicken Little is ill-regarded in town, ridiculed by townsfolk for the time he thought the sky was falling down, when in fact he had merely been hit on the head by an acorn.
There is at least a little bit of strategy and exploration involved in acquiring each of the cards within the platform component, but not a great deal, and the mini-games themselves are just faint twists on the flat gameplay elsewhere.

Little Buddha Review   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-02)
Little Buddha is an enjoyable, at times powerful, and ultimately highly entertaining movie.
It is rare to see a movie essentially devoid of such things that not only does entertain you, but also uplifts your spirit and leaves you with a positive feeling.
In Little Buddha, this truth, though perhaps somewhat obscured by the search for the reincarnated teacher, is nonetheless powerfully and unforgettably portrayed.

TheMovieBoy Review: Little Boy Blue (1998)
"Little Boy Blue," is like one of those old southern gothic mysteries from the '50's, where the characters are shrouded in uncertainty, where the plot twists come at a rapid pace, but where the story is pretty juvenile and silly, except to the people unlucky enough to be in the film.
"Little Boy Blue," is an independent film that had been floating around at film festivals prior to its limited theatrical release this Spring.
It is a goofy little thriller with no real purpose of being made, nor any obvious talent in the filmmaking department.

 G4 - Feature - Disney's Chicken Little Review
The game follows the basic story line of the film, which finds the little chick scared to death that the world is coming to an end after an acorn thumps his feathered head.
The core game involves Chicken Little getting from point A to point B by doing what is typically done in most platformers, which means jumping on ledges, climbing poles, running across narrow areas, and using a gadget or two to advance past certain obstacles.
There is a dodgeball minigame that has Chicken Little and friends competing in a gymnasium, shooting sequences from onboard a spacecraft and in an alien suit, racing challenges in vehicles and on foot, and much more.

Chicken Little movie review, In Film Australia
The module embraced in Chicken Little is a bland one: a thud of pop-culture references and top 20 tracks refuse to jerk the film out of ‘contemporary’ mode while fluffy creatures sporting makeshift personalities dance around with instant Happy Meal appeal.
The casting of Zach Braff as Chicken Little’s voice is an intriguing aberration: Zach’s excellent cinematic debut Garden State, a refreshingly optimistic indie about young people on the fringes of inner-revolution, confirmed him neither as a draw-card star nor a colorful vocalist.
Adult audiences are likely to see beneath the veneer of shiny surface sheens and consider this bland little film a thankless, pattern less garble of dull entertainment and blatant merchandise tie ins.

GameFam: REVIEW: Stuart Little 3: Big Photo Adventure   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-02)
In reviewing Lego Star Wars a few weeks ago, I wrote about how my kids had begun to play more independently, instead of being more passive (or more accurately, intermittently active) consumers of the games we play together.
The game is true to the spirit, appearance and environments of the Stuart Little movies, yet it gives the young players enough freedom to feel that they are in charge of the adventure (as opposed to the unseen conductor of a train traveling on-rails).
I also should have mentioned that I'm not that much of a fan of the Stuart Little movies, so I wasn't coming to this from the perspective of someone who loves the character, and thus, can't be accused of letting my affection for a mouse cloud my judgement.

And that's precisely what Chicken Little from developer Avalanche is. It's not great in any one particular area, but overall it's far better than most games engineered to cash in on popular movies.
And for those that don't know, Chicken Little is Disney's new computer animated retelling of the popular kid's story about a young chicken who believes the sky is falling.
Since Chicken Little is an Avalanche-developed title, the action will seem a little familiar to fans of the Tak series.

Movie Review for Little Children   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-02)
Little Children is magnetic, a movie that manages to be artistic and entertaining all at once.
Little Children works brilliantly as a mesmerizing character study about the way we judge others and ourselves, but it nearly loses itself once Field starts stirring in a sidebar subplot about a recently paroled pedophile living in the neighborhood.
Little Children examines the sacrifices that must be made for parenthood and picket-fence living, and holds them up to the harsh light of reality.

 Macworld: Review: Little Snitch 1.2
That’s where Little Snitch shines: It tells you what software on your computer is trying to make outgoing connections, then asks you whether you want to allow or block the connection, and if you want to do so one time or forever.
Little Snitch doesn’t make it clear when software, such as the benign nmbd (NetBIOS name server), might be responding to a connection from a sketchy-looking address, rather than initiating a connection.
Little Snitch is easy to install, but plan on spending a few minutes teaching it about your normal habits—network connections it should always allow, such as retrieving new e-mail or visiting your online banking service.

There he was taken prisoner, tortured, and finally escaped backed to freedom after a nightmarish month on the run through the jungles of Laos.
"Little Dieter Needs to Fly" is an excellent film that transcends the limits of a typical war hero documentary to become an allegory illustrating the power of dreams.
Dieter Dengler’s tale is told through his own dreams -- both literal and figurative -- and through these insights into one man’s soul Werner Herzog reveals as much about himself and humankind in general as he does about one lone naval aviator.

TheMovieBoy Review - Chicken Little (2005)
After Chicken Little tries out for the school's baseball team in hopes of making his widowed father (Garry Marshall) proud, a stroke of determination allows him to hit the winning run of the championship game.
So similar is the alien invasion angle to the H.G. Wells novel, made all the more glaring by the recent adaptation by Steven Spielberg and complete with tentacled alien ships and zapper rays seemingly obliterating the animal-people into thin air, that plagiarism is originally considered a possibility.
There is a sweetness in the way Chicken Little remains resourceful even when placed in a shadow of doubt and ridicule from his peers and elders, and his rise back to the top is one that young audience members will especially get involved in and root for.

How might Chicken Little trust his father to appreciate his own interests and identity, rather than trying so hard to be the son he imagines his father "wants" (that is, a baseball player like his father was)?
Turning brief fairy tales into sweeping mini-epics has long been Disney's hallmark, but even for a fable, Chicken Little is thin stuff; it's a brief cautionary tale against alarmism, essentially "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" without any of the poetic irony.
A hectic, uninspired pastiche of catchphrases and clichés, with very little wit, inspiration or originality to bring its frantically moving images to genuine life.

In Brief: Chicken Little has his home town in a state when he rings the town's bell to proclaim that the sky is falling in.
Zach Braff is the titular Chicken Little, taking his flair for slightly camp but instantly loveable comedy behind the mic - so to speak - and creating the endearing Chicken as though he were the animated form of his J.D. from Scrubs.
Chicken Little is not quite as grown up, though, as The Incredibles and it's definitely a film for the youngest members of the household.
