	The Triangle Tract - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		The Triangle Tract was 87,000 acre (352 km²) parcel of land abutting the Mill Yard Tract portion of the Phelps and Gorham Purchase in western New York State.
		They finally agreed on a tract of land west of the Genesee, running south from Lake Ontario approximately 24 miles (39 km) and extending west from "the westernmost bend" of the Genesee river approximately 12 miles (19 km), with this western boundary paralleling the course of the Genesee, and containing 184,320 acres (746 km²).
		However, when the Mill Yard Tract was surveyed, the surveyor assumed that the Genesee River ran due north, and ran the western boundary 12 miles (19 km) distant from the westernmost bend, due north.

		The John Coppock Mill is mentioned in the book The Land of Many Mills by Jacob Swisher, which was to be found in the library.
		In the early heyday of milling, the Coppock Mill, located on the north side of the Skunk River near the Washington, Henry and Jefferson County line, was widely known.

		About the year 1793, Robert Morris sold this tract to an association of capitalists residing in Holland, expecting and reserving a parcel of land, twelve miles wide, to be taken off from the east side.

		To process the wood Reed built the first saw mill in Marin County in the future "Cascade Canyon" (the "Old Mill" of Mill Valley).
