		"Moon" tells the story of a town that is invaded and subdued by an army from another country--little hints indicate that the invader is WW2-era Germany.
		Today, "The Moon is Down" is less well-known that some of Steinbeck's other works, but it bears comparison with his best.
		I found "The Moon is Down" much more effective than some of Steinbeck's other short novels which are frequently forced upon young readers.
