The Angry Samoans - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The band's particularly offensive, politically incorrect attitude and lyrical content probably contributed to this situation as well.
Singer/bassist Todd Homer left in 1989, and formed The Mooseheart Faith Stellar Groove Band with Larry Robinson, formerly of 1970s teen pop-soul band Apollo.
Turner left soon afterwards, and the band became essentially a pet project of Saunders carrying on with a wide variety of other individuals, sporadically active throughout the 1990s.

Mooseheart are just the thing to take psychedelia into the new millenium.
I'm sure this sort of thing would go over well in the UK and Europe much better than the USA, but it is still excellent stuff that is a breath of fresh air from the late nineties.

However, indie rock was effectively launched when Nirvana broke into the mainstream along with several other bands, taking the "alternative" label with them, ironically enough.
