Although they would never again reach the top forty, the Nashville Teens had acquired a reputation as a good back-up band.
The Nashville Teens comprised a somewhat underrated band but they certainly made their mark on the 1960's pop music scene.

Nashville is one of eight cities to receive a $200,000 W.K. Kellogg Foundation award designed to promote the participation of teens in civic life.
Nashville and seven other cities were picked out of more than 200 in a highly competitive process for the Youth Innovation Fund grants, said Kenny Holdsman, who administers the program at the New York City-based National Service Learning Partnership.
Nashville was chosen because of the nationally recognized work of the 33-year-old Oasis Center and the active involvement of the mayor's youth council, among other reasons, he said.
