 Survivor Fever - Survivor Vanuatu
Both fellow band members feel Needles would do very well on the show and said she has what it takes to make it to the top spot and win the $1 million prize for surviving on an island for 40 days.
Needles, a 35-year-old model, actress and singer in a band called "76 Juliet" told her agent Louie Higgins, of ACA Entertainment out of Milwaukee, that she planned to leave the country to act in a feature film in Europe for 2-1/2 months.
Dave Roembke, the leader of the band, said Needles indicated she would be filming in Mexico and not Europe.

 Bleach
The album was still untitled at that point, but during a stay in San Francisco, tha band took note of a strong, ubiquitous public health campaign designed to fight the spread of AIDS by advising intravenous drug users to clean theit needles thoroughly with bleach.
Bleach was being dispensed as part of clean needle exchange program, and the band even spotted a guy downtown dressed up as a bleach bottle in order to spread the bleach message.
The band continued to play out, to write, and to rehearse, and in December and January 1989 spent more time at Reciprocal with Endino to record the rest of the album.

Compare Prices and Read Reviews on Bleach - Nirvana (USA) at Epinions.com
Bleach is very much a difficult record to listen to at times - especially in comparison to it’s more radio friendly brethren - but it’s also a very good record, and the band’s aggression and the overdriven guitar passages are very much an integral part of this album.
It’s appropriate that the name of the album was derived from heroin junkies who used the substance to clean their needles, because this is a record that is absolutely down and dirty, a swirling mess of noise and melody that seems to make sense at times while being a total mass of confusing at others.
A great debut from the band that left their indelible mark on American music history and American popular culture.

The band is normally about 500-1000 km wide, its average position in Canada being over Yellowknife, NWT, to the West, and Grande rivière de la Baleine, Qué, to the East.

If the band has been worked with smaller needles, pick up three stitches to every four along the side of the hem band [pic 11].
Quite often, the hem band has been knitted with a smaller needle, which has the effect of gathering the body of the garment into the smaller shape of the band.
The main reason for this is an attractive gathered shape, but then the ratio of stitches to rows on the side of the hem band has to be taken into account.

 The Searchers' History
It was The Searchers, however, that eclipsed the Beatles with "Needles and Pins" and caught the gaze of a galaxy of music lovers.
This is The Searchers in the rough and on that should not be savoured and not skipped by as it does not have the fullness or trademark harmonies were are used to.
The Searchers "Saints and Searchers" was a bit of a play on words as most of the fans saw the group as being quite tame and benign compared to the likes of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones for example.

BeatleLinks Fab Forum - Tony Jackson of the Searchers Dies at 63
After success with the band - he sang on their biggest US hit, 'Love Potion Number Nine', but only played bass on 'Needles and Pins' - he went solo, scoring a minor hit with 'Bye Bye Baby'.
It just goes to show what a great band the Searchers were that they could lose the member who was effectively their lead singer and still go on to have a great career - if only they'd been able to write their own material, who knows what might have happened..?
In later years he tried to set up a Searchers revival band, but the field was crowded, with two others already in existence.

Guitarist Mick Thomson (#7), for instance, will talk to you about his first tattoo ("I found out later he had been using the same needles on everyone for six months"), his encounters with porn stars ("I'm well versed") and the smell of his bandmates' farts ("They peel paint"), among just about anything else.
Thomson also says the band is hungry to return to its rigorous touring schedule and put on the live spectacles that established the band as the metal mainstay it has become.
Once Slipknot had gotten it's legal kinks worked out, all the side projects were put on hold and the band headed back to the studio to record a much anticipated new album with Rick Rubin, and Thomson was somehow able to pull himself out of his Al Bundy-like slumber to contribute.
