 Aerosmith Album Reviews
Another highlight on an album full of highlights is the catchy r&b of “No More No More,” whose serious lyrics about the downside of the rock n’ roll lifestyle shows the flip side to the band's usual good time obsessions with sex, drugs, and double entendres.
Finally, “Round And Round” is a lumbering stomper that showcases Aerosmith at their heaviest and nastiest (not unusual for a Brad Whitford penned song), while the sweeping power ballad “You See Me Crying” closes things out with an excellent orchestral effort that’s arguably the album’s best moment.
Aerosmith had steadily improved with each release, developing their craft while seizing a major share of the American hard rock market.

 RATW: Iggy Pop Article
You can forget Aerosmith, the Dolls, the Ramones, Kiss, the Stones, or other so-called "heavy" bands -- these Stooges ("Rock" and Ron Asheton: drums and bass; James "Skull" Williamson: lethal guitar; Ig: the world's forgotten boy on vocals) had them all beat on the lethal level -- by a catatonic harrowing mile.
Suffice to say, both sides of the disc try to capture the grim tension of the subterranean' style, but it is side two that tolls infernal and grinding pathos.
Just a look at the song titles indicates the decision to bring-it-on-home: "Search and Destroy".

Girls, Girls, Girls [+] continued Mötley Crüe [+]'s commercial hot streak, eventually going quadruple-platinum as its predecessor Theatre of Pain had; meanwhile, the title track brought them their second Top 20 single, and "Wild Side" became a popular MTV item.
In general, the Crüe really plays up the sleaze factor on this album, trying to recapture some of the street-tough grittiness that fueled Too Fast for [* Mu#Loving-You#Love [+] *]-- even appearing on the cover astride motorcycles and wearing leather; this time around, the influence of Aerosmith [+] is felt to a much greater degree.
(In 1999, the Crüe remastered and reissued Girls, Girls, Girls [+] on their own Motley/Beyond label with four bonus tracks: instrumental mixes of three selections, plus the previously unreleased song "Rodeo.")

And a remake of the Rolling Stones' "Sympathy for the Devil" was essentially the straw that broke the camel's back, as Rose cut out some of the other member's contributions and pasted Huge over the song without consulting anyone else.
While Slash and Izzy Stradlin ferociously spit out dueling guitar riffs worthy of Aerosmith or the Stones, Axl Rose screeched out his tales of sex, drugs, and apathy in the big city.
The band remained in limbo for several more years, and Slash resurfaced in 1995 with the side project Slash's Snakepit and an LP, It's Five O'Clock Somewhere.

'GN'R Lies' followed the album, combining new acoustic material with their debut EP, the song included here, "Patience" is a more reflective moment, showing another side to a group whose reputation was now starting to outweigh the music.
The last of the great rock bands, Los Angeles gave birth to Guns N' Roses in the late eighties, the group combining the hedonism of Motley Crue, the rough blues of Aerosmith, and punk-rock attitude of Black Flag, creating a cocktail of bad boy behaviour, drug abuse and riveting live performances.
The year is 2004 and still we wait for another Guns N' Roses LP, Axl Rose is now the only remaining member, and has promised a new album for nearly six years.

 AEROSMITH SONG INFO
The Joe Perry project was initially merely a side project to Perry's full-time involvement with Aerosmith, but as Perry's dissatisfaction with Aerosmith grew, the more he toyed with the idea of completely breaking away from the group and launching a solo career.
The band got to work on another record, "Once A Rocker, Always a Rocker," in 1983, but the Project was doing so poorly that they were nearly dropped by MCA during the making of the record.
And though the Joe Perry Project met its demise in early 1984, one of the greatest comebacks in rock and roll history was simultaneously set into motion.
