In retrospect, considering the budget constraints and censor limitations of the era, the Outer Limits was one of the most well-written and thoughtful sci-fi shows of all time.
TOL was the darker, scarier of the two, almost as much horror as sci-fi.
Outer Limits was almost pure sci-fi, whereas Twilight Zone was a combination of drama, fantasy, and suspense, with a dash of sci-fi on some occassions.
