The Marvelous Land of Oz, commonly shortened to The Land of Oz, published in 1904, is the second of L. Frank Baums books set in the Land of Oz, and the sequel to The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Oz books Gregory Maguire is the author of the Wicked Cycle, a series of novels based on the Oz Chronicles by L. Frank Baum, that focus on the Wicked Witch of the West (Elphaba Thropp) and her family.

Oz is fairyland originally created by L. Frank Baum as stories he told his four sons and their friends.
Baum proceeded to write 14 Oz books, the first of which, _The Wonderful Wizard of Oz_, was published in 1900.
The _Bugle_ appears three times a year and specializes in popular and scholarly articles on Oz and its creators, biographical and critical studies, first edition checklists, research into the people and places within the Oz books, etc. The magazine is illustrated with rare photographs and drawings, and the covers are in full color.

The Road to Oz, the fifth book in the series, and concerns a jolly homeless fellow named the Shaggy Man, whom Dorothy loves and trusts even after she learns he has stolen and pocketed Toto, because he has a magic magnet that makes everyone who meets him love him.
While there are whimsy and puns in the Oz books (I was surprised at how many puns there were when I started reading Baum; I had considered them the exclusive domain of Lewis Carroll), there aren't many laugh-out-loud moments, but there are a few.
Oz books from Powell's, which has an incredible variety of them, new and used.

This is a great book, it brought to me the excitement of a die-hard fan, who was grateful for his team finally winning the world series.
