The Parker Pen Company, founded in 1891 by George Stafford Parker in Janesville, Wisconsin, is best known for making pens that are among the most prestigious and collectible in the world.
In 1931 Parker created Quink "quick drying ink" which eliminated the need for blotting and led to the development of the most widely used model of fountain pen in history (over $400 million worth of sales in its 30 year history) the Parker 51.
Parker pens were frequently selected (often as favorite pens of the signers) to sign important documents such as the World War II armistices, and commemorative editions were sometimes offered.

Striving to make the unleakable pen, Parker came up with the design for the Lucky Curve ink feed, a curved ink feed that was designed to drain the ink back into the reservoir by capillary attraction when the pen was upright.
During the First World War Parker was awarded a contract by the U.S. Government for the Trench Pen, a pen that soldiers could use on the battlefield by inserting a fl pigment pellet into the cap and mixing it with water to make ink.
