One of the bands to pioneer the current "party band" trend, WISKERBISKET'S stage show is a high energy, fast paced, and often humorous blend of diverse musical styles, and crazy antics.
The band is notorious for their determination to throw out the musical rulebook and cover songs with a special "Bisket twist" thus keeping their music unpredictable, yet familiar all at once.
Band members are usually out among the party people themselves, smiling and dancing while making friends with the crowd.

Although bands such as Rainbow possess many qualities of progressive metal and had experimented with the fusion of metal and classical styles, the genre was not a defined one at the time, such bands prior to the breakout of the genre are generally classified as heavy metal.
Bands who emerged in the 1990s, such as Pain of Salvation, Opeth, Ayreon, Tool, and Symphony X each inadverently re-invented the wheel with their styles, straying from the traditional sounds of Dream Theater and Fates Warning into their own signature sound.
For example, two bands that are commonly identified as progressive metal, King's X and Opeth, are at opposite ends of the sonic spectrum to one another.

UWP Director of Bands Barry Ellis said the Marching Pioneers may be one of only two marching bands to play at the hallowed stadium this football season.
For some, it was only their second time playing with the Marching Pioneers, having performed for the UWP Pioneers home opener a week earlier.

Lozinak won the 800 meter and 400 meter freestyle events to give the Pioneers some breathing in a meet that was back and forth between both teams.
She also swam the first leg of the 200 meter freestyle relay, to give the Pioneers an early push towards winning that event.

While at Morehead, Tim marched for five years in the Morehead State University Marching Band, and was section leader for the drum line that won a national title in 2003.
The game is slated for tip-off at 7:30PM when the Pioneers take on the 1st place Fairleigh Dickinson Knights at the Pitt Center in Fairfield, CT. The game will also be shown LIVE on Fox College Sports (Atlantic).
Tune into the game and watch for the Sacred Heart Pioneer Pep Band which will be performing during the game in the stands.

Though not a Colorado band The Suicide Commandos peformed frequently in Denver during 1978 and brought Littleton's Johnny Three to their home town of Minnepolis to perform at that city's premier punk rock venue the Longhorn Bar.
They released two singles on PS Records (which preceded Twin/Tone Records.) The Commandos were one of the pioneer US bands touring the country, having to book themselves by convincing club owners in every city that their kind of music would draw people.
The rock video pioneer Chuck Statler made a film of "Burn It Down" which featured the burning of the house the band had used for rehearsing for years.
