Truth, it seems to me, by definition should not be complicated or convoluted.
Certainly one of the noble themes of the 16th century church was the call to return to the plain meaning of the scriptures.
The plain truth is that the church has not been given the task of weed removal or an agenda for schism.

The Plain Truth - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
What made The Plain Truth magazine unique was its editorial content which reflected a number of ideas which individually might be found in other news and religious magazines, but when combined and refined composed a unique message that could not be read anywhere else but in the literature of the Worldwide Church of God.
At its height in the mid-1980s the Plain Truth had a monthly circulation of eight million in seven languages, including English, German from August 1961, French from June 1963, Spanish from 1968, Dutchfrom 1968, Italian from July 1982 and Norwegian from February 1984.
Plain Truth Ministries deliberately chose to maintain the name of the magazine, as it represents an acknowledgement of its history and its doctrinal reform.

DVD Verdict Review - Plain Truth
Kudos to Lifetime because, surprisingly, Plain Truth devotes only about 15 minutes to Ellie's and Coop's personal relationship, but rather keeps the focus of this TV film on track by concentrating on the birth and disappearance of the baby, and the legal ramifications that ensue.
Plain Truth is so well-done and so tightly adapted by screenwriter Matthew Tabak (The Stranger Beside Me) from Jodi Picoult's novel, I hesitate to divulge any further plot twists beyond the first half-hour's worth already revealed.

NRDC: Arctic National Wildlife Refuge: Why Trash an American Treasure for a Tiny Percentage of Our Oil Needs?
Although drilling proponents often say there are 16 billion barrels of oil under the refuge's coastal plain, the U.S. Geological Service's estimate of the amount that could be recovered economically -- that is, the amount likely to be profitably extracted and sold -- represents less than a year's U.S. supply.
While proponents of drilling insist the Arctic Refuge could be developed by disturbing as little as 2,000 acres within the 1.5-million-acre coastal plain, a recent analysis by NRDC reveals this to be pure myth.
Rather, it's spread across the coastal plain in more than 30 small deposits, which would require vast networks of roads and pipelines that would fragment the habitat, disturbing and displacing wildlife.

Chalmers, by his admission, chose to write Plain Truth after waiting week upon week for someone to respond with anger to Common Sense.

The setting of the Plain Truth is the first draw of this novel, but it is the depth and psychological underpinnings of the characters that provide the surprising grip within the story.
For if Katie could have a jury of her peers, there would be no trial, since the mere fact that she is Plain would raise reasonable doubt that she is the murderer.
