		The Punk Rock Movie was assembled from Super 8 camera footage shot by Don Letts, the disc jockey at the Roxy club during the early days of the UK punk rock movement, between 1977 and 1979.
		Punk rock is an anti-establishment music movement beginning around 1976 (although precursors can be found several years earlier), exemplified and popularised by The Ramones, the Sex Pistols, The Clash and The Damned.
		The film captures the energy and vibrancy of this period, and features archive live footage of the bands The Clash, the Sex Pistols, Wayne County and the Electric Chairs, Generation X, Slaughter and the Dogs, The Slits, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Eater, Subway Sect, X-Ray Spex, Alternative TV and The Heartbreakers.

		I had bought The Punk Rock Movie on video tape in 1994 and was amazed at seeing video footage of the British punk rock bands: The clash, Eater, Billy Idol and Generation X, The slits, Siousxie and the Banshees, of course, the Sex Pistols, just so amazed.
		Very shocking, because I had previously not known about the movement, this 'punk rock' Oh, I had heard the term but I was unaware, for example, I clearly remember seeing the clash perform on Saturday Night Live but that was it.

		I guess the only real "punk" related elements of it are that it's a low budget film and the gang in the movie, the Cretins, dressed kinda punk/new wave.
		I took the movie personally however, as I have found through music many people who I can relate to and share the same ideals that I could not have expressed before that.
		Although that is not obviously a word for word quote, I thought some of comments by some individuals were very negative and actually destroying the some of the ideals that punk rock and hardcore were founded on.

		For example, one character in the movie is a hardcore, militant straight-edge punk who comically goes on rants about the dangers of drugs and his belief that caffeine is a gateway drug.

		Hopefully that's the case with 'Punk Rock Holocaust,' which is now available on DVD, because the film looked like something I should be enjoying it, but I wasn't.
		Was there something missing from the movie- or just me? After I did some thinking, I did figure out that there are specific individuals who will LOVE the film, while others will be just bored silly.

		Another is that the movie will use the Free Battle and Free Quest portions of the game for fight scenes or when Ryo opens doors and sneaks into places.
		The movie is also a good starter point for those who want to play Shenmue 2 (There is a 13 minute digest movie on the Dreamcast version but who knows if it'll still be on XBOX), which in my opinion, is a far greater game in terms of adventure and spectacle.

		What I hate are all these fools co-opting the look of the people and cars of this movie and pretending the freeway is the set of their own special movie where they get to be Vin Diesel while endangering the very lives of myself and everybody else in proximity.
		These "highway racers" apparently are in another reality and 5 years ago before the movie ever existed, these guys weren't around as abundant as they are now.
