The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King - Movie Review (The Return of the King)
L.O.T.R return of the king is the climax of the three parts; therefore it is the most emotional one for all characters, it will eventually be the best of all because more and more effort will be put into it.
Equally important, the ending of the movie was a little bit too long and unorganized, a lot of things were happening at the same time, and the audience got a little confused.
Return of the King is by far the best fantasy movie Ive ever seen and it is quite deserving of the academy award; all 11 of them.

LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RETURN OF THE KING
It is better than Return of the Jedi, definitely better than Matrix Revolutions and nowhere as disappointing as Alien 3.
The movies too will pass the time, but as someone once remarked: the golden age of sci-fi is 13.
Return of the King is like a small puppy instead of the roaring lion it pretends to be: it wants nothing more than to be liked; and while I admired it greatly, I found that I didn’t really like it all that much.

Flipside Movie Emporium: The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King Movie Review
With the groundwork laid by Fellowship and The Two Towers, The Return of the King sits back and reaps the benefits, delivering an awe-inspiring climax to the saga of Frodo Baggins (Elijah Wood) and his quest to destroy the Ring of Power.
The Return of the King seeks to tie in all of the remaining threads, providing a closure that matches the power and drama that has come before it.
The Return of the King is every inch the finale this saga deserves, cementing its place as one of the seminal cinematic achievements of our time.

Lord of the Rings 3: The Return of the King - Movie Review by Faizan Rashid - TEN Movies   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-15)
With near perfect computer imagery, judicious placement of key sequences from the book and a stellar cast, the final result is nothing short of a magnum opus, one that is likely to be the yardstick by which all future trilogies are gauged for their impact and consistency of delivery.
‘King’ finds a war brewing in the front yard of the city of Minas Tirith, spectacularly created by the production team, where Denethor, father of Faramir and favourite son Boromir, sits atop the throne, refusing to accept the likely return of the rightful king of Gondor.
The movie then juggles between these two arcs, interceding frequently enough to allow apprehension to grow upon the audience peppered with the grand battle of Pelennor fields where catapults hurl boulders obliterating entire portions of the city.

Peter Jackson's epic adaptation of "Lord of the Rings" reaches its pinnacle in "Return of the King." The stellar cast, mind-blowing special effects and heartbreaking script are all present in the third movie, which is not only the last of the "Lord of the Rings" films, but the best.
In "Return of the King," Jackson surpasses that.
The Return of the King movie has its moments (especially the final scenes), but I was disappointed by it, having had very high expectations, and was surprised when all the newspaper reviewers autopraised it.
