In all ice rinks used for invitational tournaments and regional Playoffs and national championships the ice surface dimensions shall be not less than 185 feet by 85 feet.
The rink shall be surrounded by a wooden or fiberglass wall or fence, known as the "BOARDS", which shall extend not less than forty inches and not more than forty-eight inches above the level of the ice surface.
It is recommended that the entire rink, including players and penalty benches, be enclosed by protective safety glass, wire and/or other protective screens of sufficient height designed to separate players from spectators.
