	The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad
		Back in 1958 The 7th Voyage of Sinbad became the sleeper hit of that year with a mere $650,000 budget, the film has become a cult favorite and thru the years its popularity and influence on special effects artist, film directors, producers and legions of fans cannot be mistaken.
		Sinbad is forced to create a crew of misfits from the Caliphs (Alec Mango) prison yard and return to the island with this crew along with Sokurah.
		The 7th Voyage of Sinbad has some of Ray harryhausen's best work with such memorable creatures as the Cyclopes, the Dragon and that very memorable fight with the living Skeleton which seems to be a prelude to the seven skeletons seen in Jason and the Argonauts a few years later.

		The problem, never solved in these films, is that it's difficult to believe in a mythic world when the actors keep bringing you back to earth everytime they open their mouths.
		However, he gains points for his ability to look as if there is something standing in front of him when acting in scenes where the models were added later, and his swordfighting is excellent in the final confrontation with the skeleton.
		Now, the Dynamation featurette and the interview about "Sinbad" are very good, and it's nice to see trailers for "Seventh Voyage", "Golden Voyage" and "Jason".

		The episodic a-new-monster-every-ten-minutes formula is here held together by a solid plot hook, Sinbad's quest to restore the shrunken Princess Parisa to her full height.
		She unbolts the latch and tells her fiancee he can come out, whereupon Sinbad pops the cage lid up like a flapjack -- every time, most of the audience got the idea that Parisa should have been launched into the air, to splat on some rock somewhere.

		Sinbad and his crew sail back to Colossa and vanquish a cyclops, retrieve the magic lamp and it's genii, (Eyer), only to discover that Sokurah intends to use the power for his own evil ends.
		Sinbad also encounters a dragon, a two headed Roc, a four armed snake woman and a living skeleton.

		This is one of those movies that you can just sit back and enjoy realizing that it's all played out for fun and there was no intention other than this by the filmmakers.
