	The Shaggy Dog DVD Review
		On Shaggy Dog, he and co-writer Lillie Hayward (who had worked regularly since the silent era but had only recently come to Disney) would be guided by The Hound of Florence, a 1930 novel written by Felix Salten, the Austrian author of another important Disney adaptation, Bambi (as well as 1957's "True Life Fantasy" Perri).
		While The Shaggy Dog took quite a bit longer than most films to land on disc, the wait seems acceptable, as Walt's first all-out comedy is treated to a delightful widescreen transfer and three worthwhile bonus features.
		Back to the subject at hand, The Shaggy Dog is one of the easiest DVDs of a Walt-Era live action film to recommend, based on the strengths of the film, the quality of the presentation, and the value of the bonus material.

		I was told the Shaggy Dog remake will actually feature a Bearded Collie for the parts that aren't the computer generated "shaggy dog".
		Though not the same as the original, Bearded Collies are awesome, beautiful, obedient dogs and will probably be great in the movie.
		But you are all right, they too are ridiculously cute dogs and it'll be hard for people not to want to run out and get one right away.
