	MSJ - Silent Force-Infatuator
		Silent Force is certainly one of this horde of bands.
		The trouble is, they are so damn good at what they do, you are forced to play air guitar and bang your head with them no matter how typical their sound is. The head says they are old hat but the heart says, rock on, warriors of metal!
		If there was any doubt Silent Force is influenced by Judas Priest, it should be put to rest by this faithful cover of the "Painkiller" tune.

		At 20:30 PM I arrived at Arena, the small venue for what was to become a F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C Metal show by a couple of today's hottest bands Angra & Silent Force (this was their very first time playing in Spain BTW).

		Yet, that's not how I experience "The Silent Force." The sound is definitely full, but not because of guitars, but rather because of all the orchestrations and choir arrangements.
		The lack of variety of "The Silent Force" shows especially in the mood, the vocals and the lyrics.
		The album starts very promising, with a great epic-sounding intro, which is followed by probably the best track on "The Silent Force"- "See Who I Am." "Jillian," the second real track, has also nice moments, but is, however, spoilt by weak vocals (see the previous passage) and a boring bridge.

		Crossing those two bands together, along with a healthy dose of Painkiller-era Judas Priest, gives a good impression of the style that Silent Force is going for -- chock full of speedy riffing, soaring melodic vocals, exactly the sort of Euro metal played by countless other (mostly) German bands at the moment.
		Cooper's vocals are perfect for this style, melodic, forceful, able to hit the high notes just right but thankfully doesn't spend too much time wailing.

		I don't know which CD is worse, because I never even listened to Stormwind as I didn't like the looks of their guitar player.

		Although Within Temptation is a highly talented group of musicians, and "Mother Earth" was a ground breaking release, I found it rather boring most of the time.
		Instead of all the high pitched operatic themes, "Silent Force" has a more straight forward direction, which was a much needed change in my opinion....
		I don't really like to compare bands with this much talent, because they each deserve their own place in the music world, but I can't get over how similar "Silent Force" is to "Fallen" from Evanescence.
