		This album doesn't seem to enjoy the popularity of Hellbilly Deluxe, Rob Zombie's first solo release, but I consider The Sinister Urge the better album of the two.
		Scum of the Earth isn't bad, but I would consider it the only light-weight song on the album.
		I might note that this album, unlike its predecessor, provides listeners with the song lyrics; it's not always easy to understand Zombie's edgy vocals, and now, while some of the lyrics don't make a great deal of sense, I at least know what I'm hearing.

		"Hellbilly" hands-down had better single material than the new album, but "The Sinister Urge" is surprisingly easier to listen to.
		Still, it can't be ignored that "The Sinister Urge" is nearly identical to "Hellbilly Deluxe" in sound, how the album lineup is handled, and song titling.
		Maybe "The Sinister Urge" should be called "Hellbilly Deluxe 2." Tackling horrifically campy themes like necrophilia, zombies and dead girls once again, Rob Zombie might write songs that repeat past themes, but it's so much fun to listen to.

		Rob Zombie shocked me in ’99 when he very nearly smoked metal maestros Black Sabbath off the stage in the summer spectacular that once was the Ozzfest, and, as of this writing, he has - surprisingly - done it again with his new disc, “Sinister Urge&;.
		Ok…well, on every album, Rob has to touch base with all the dead chicks he’s known, usually with spectacular results.
		I was surprised, because the first radio single “Feel So Numb”, which is probably the album’s low point, gave absolutely no indication of the ferocity contained in this recording.

		Rob Zombie returns with The Sinister Urge, the follow up to his first solo album Hellbilly Deluxe.
		While Hellbilly Deluxe showed us where Rob wanted to push his music, Sinister just seems to have moved the act into a complacent, MTV-friendly package that will disenfranchise a large portion of his dedicated fanbase.
		Fans of Rob Zombie will probably want to pick this album up, but others who are interested in Rob's music should just get Hellbilly Deluxe or one of the White Zombie albums.
