Sunday Times League Table 2004   (Site not responding. Last check: )
The interesting conclusion the Sunday Times compilers have drawn is that this is "proof that whatever the subtle changes to our methodology, our league table continues to be a reliable barometer of the relative academic performance of our higher education institutions".
However, it is still the case that the Sunday Times is attempting to produce a single measure from a number of different TQA schemes, run at different times, and for differing periods of time, in each of the constituent UK countries.
The fact that the Sunday Times ignores other intake qualifications means, for many HEIs, that the measure is based on a minority of their intake, sometimes a small minority.

At the 85 MPH speed cars generally travel on Interstate 5, it is often quicker to drive to many parts of Los Angeles than it is to fly.
Example: The flight time to Paris from Lyon is 55 minutes, but the air traveler needs to account for driving time to the airport, early check-in, then the drive from the airport into Paris, a total of more than 31/2 hours.
