DVD Review: Sword In The Stone
VIDEO: "Sword In The Stone" is presented in the film's original 1.33:1 aspect ratio, and for a film that's nearly 40 years old, the picture looks suprisingly good.
Although many of these films retain their entertainment value years later, "The Sword In The Stone" generally is in the middle ground in terms of Disney offerings - not the worst, but a film that is rather slow and dull at times.

Retaining the charm of early animated features, and yet uncharacteristically free of the moralistic baggage that the Disney moniker seems to imply, The Sword in the Stone is a classic animated feature film for the whole family.

The Sword in the Stone DVD Review
In fact, The Sword in the Stone is one of the less memorable animated Disney films, which is not to say it's bad, but rather it seems misguided.
In this case, it is unfortunate, as The Sword in the Stone pales in comparison to the other animated films from the 60s, or the decades that preceeded for that matter.
"Sword" was the first animated project the brothers did for Disney and this featurette allows the Shermans to look back on their experience and even reminisce about a few songs that were not used in the final film.
