The Testaments of One Fold and One Shepherd is a 67-minute film produced by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Testaments depicts the life of Jesus in Jerusalem while dramatizing the events described in the Book of Mormon from approximately the same time period.
The Testaments of One Fold and One Shepherd has now been replaced in that theater by a film commemorating the 200th anniversary of the birth of Joseph Smith, Jr.

Here in Hebrews 13:20, the same three things are brought together: the God of peace, the great Shepherd, the everlasting covenant, and in a manner (in perfect accord with the theme of the Epistle) that refuted the erroneous conception that the Jews had formed of their Messiah.
Shepherd and sheep are correlative terms: one cannot properly term any man a shepherd if he has no sheep.
Christ is the Shepherd of the sheep, and not of the wolves (Luke 10:3), nor even of the goats (Matthew 25:32, 33), for He has received no charge from God to save them.

Though shepherds were detestable to the Egyptians of Joseph's day (Gen. 46:34), shepherding was a very common occupation during the time of the Bible's backdrop (for the Old and New Testaments).
One helpful trait of the sheep, however, is his ability to recognize his master's call -- whether it be of the shepherd's own voice or an instrument of some sort that the shepherd would use to summon his flock.
With the Lord for his shepherd, the psalmist says, "I shall not want"; or, in other words, he would not lack; for his needs would be met.

Both Merrill and Harrington are arriving in town on March 20 for a gala screening of the movie, which screened on Kaua'i last year for the cast and crew.

Christological interpretation is normative in that some form of this species of interpretation has characterized Christian biblical interpretation since the first century, despite the modern challenge to this norm by the historical-critical method, first in the academic world, and recently even on a popular level, as the historical-critical method influences culture.
For the Christian, to lose such a reading of the Old Testament is to lose much of this capacity to have his heart and his perception of the world shaped by the Word of God spoken to his people in every age.
Thus, a return to christocentric interpretation means a return to the text as it understands itself; to the Bible as the primary source of dogma (as both Reformers and their predecessors held); to an exegesis built on faith; and to a reading of the Bible aimed at nourishing spiritual life.

What the Bible Teaches There are a number of passages, both in the Old and New Testaments which seem to indicate clearly the continued existence of twelve tribes after the return under Cyrus of Persia.
Substantiated in the New Testament If, as I believe, the ten tribes returned from captivity, there should be some mention in the New Testament to indicate that tribal identity was maintained, at least until 70 A.D. when all such records were destroyed.

But most New Testament scholars take this to be a reference to Christ's impending ministry to the Gentiles after His resurrection, of which the peoples in America certainly wouldn't qualify since, according to the Book of Mormon as well as the film, they were of the same fold as the rest of the Israelites.)

Located in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building directly east of Temple Square, the LDS Church is currently showing The Testaments: Of One Fold and One Shepherd.
The film is a fictional story meant to give the Book of Mormon, the nineteenth century book "translated" by LDS Church founder Joseph Smith, a sense of historicity.
The title of the film is taken from John 10:16, which says, "And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
