The Three Faces of Eve - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Three Faces of Eve is a 1957 film which is loosely based on the true story of a woman who suffered from Dissociative identity disorder.
The original Three Faces of Eve book was rushed into publication and film rights immediately sold to director Nunnally Johnson in 1957, apparently to capitalize on public interest in multiple personalities following the publication of Shirley Jackson's 1954 novel The Birds' Nest, which was made into the 1957 film Lizzie.
In her autobiography I'm Eve, Chris Costner-Sizemore remarked on the fact that the movie did not portray her real life at all.

This book is sufficiently different in its perspective from the "Eve" playactor's own book to indicate that the author was more interested in pushing a saleable theory than reporting what her patient really told her.
I read Three Faces years ago and found it fascinating, but have since read I'M EVE by Chris Costner Sizemore and Elen Sain Pitillo and agree with the reader who says that the false information published in the original Three Faces books was no longer relevant.
Sizemore's attempts to get the truth out and how Dr. Thigpen worked to mold her into the image that originally was responsible for her illness--the chauvanism and repression that she was desparately trying to escape.
