Three Kings Movie Review by Anthony Leong
Set in the waning days of the Gulf War, "Three Kings" is a film that will be remembered for its manic energy and screwball humor, in addition to its incisive and unflattering portrayal of the reasons behind the U.S.-led liberation of Kuwait.
The Gulf War portrayed in "Three Kings" is far-removed from the precision smart-bombing global-cop-makes-right viewpoint of popular culture-- instead, it is a cynical portrayal of a conflict born out of opportunity and avarice.
Overall, "Three Kings" is a powerful film that is both well-conceived and brilliantly executed, transcending the trappings of your average war movie.
