Crosswalk.com - "Two Brothers" Film Tracks with Wildlife Epic Predecessors
The film plunges us into the world of tigers, encouraging us to root for the two brothers as they undergo painful separation from their parents and each other, as well as the confusion of living among strangers in a foreign world.
All of the tigers were transported to Cambodia, where the film was shot, including the vine-covered Temples of Angkor, one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
Pearce filmed the part during a one-year sabbatical, traveling back and forth between Cambodia and his native Australia to be with his wife.

 Flying Tigers (1942)
He had a bum ear due to an infection which rendered him physically 4-F. Sixth, the outdoor sequences of "The Flying Tigers" were not filmed in Northridge, California, but rather in the high desert area around Santa Fe, New Mexico, in the (successful) attempt to give the foliage a more "foreign" look.
The 3 squadrons of the Tigers DID USE outdoor facilities as shown in the film.
The Tigers were indeed mercenaries, paid by the kill, as well as by the month.

Movie Review - Around the World in 80 Days (2004) - eFilmCritic
The film's various slapstick sequences at least afford a few cheap laughs, but nothing ever rises to the level of inspired.
While Fogg rescues an Indian woman from being burned alive as part of an outlawed ritual in the novel, the film's love interest is a gratingly perky French woman who is along for the ride from near the beginning.
The barrage of cameos, intended to ape the 1956 version of the film, grow tiresome, as do the cutesy historical references (the Wright Brothers selling bicycles, for example - and what were they doing in the Arizona desert anyway?).

 Amazon.co.uk: Video: Blue Tiger [1994]
As the film progress' Virginia gets a large tattoo of a red tiger on her back because there is an old chinese saying that the blue tiger will seek out the red tiger.
This film kept me enterained from start to finish with some slick shoot outs and virginia's hunt to find her son's killer, a twist in the story keeps an otherwise straight forward revenge thriller from being to predictable.
All she see's of the killer is the tattoo of a blue tiger on his chest she vows revenge and sets about tracking him down.

 Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
Because hundreds of Hong Kong films in the 1950's centered around the heroic feats of these famed Chinese, anti-Ching, anti-government heroes (mostly two groups of individuals: The 10 Tigers of Shaolin and the 10 Tigers of Canton), it drew the anger of Communist China.
When I say groundbreaking, I don't mean the film is totally brand new, you've never seen anything like it before, or it's the best martial arts film ever, because for those of you who truly know Hong Kong film, you've seen similar films hundreds of times before, made in the late 1970's and early-mid 1980's.
As the kung-fu and guo shu films started to lose their luster, Jackie Chan came along with PROJECT A (1984) and more officially with POLICE STORY (1985) and created the wu da pian (fight films using martial arts), in which he combined athleticism, martial arts and dangerous stunts wrapped in more contemporary settings.

 Dumbo (1941)
There's a beautifully sad scene where he is reunited with his mother, they caressing trunks through the bars of the cage, while the shot cuts away to all the other animal families asleep in their cages - rocking kangaroos, swinging gorillas and lazily stretching baby tigers.
There are times the film is so beautiful it is heart-rendering - Dumbo looks so forlorn and cute he frequently completely melts one's heart.
Alas it's one of the less revived and re-released Disney animated films today, mainly because it only comes in at a rather slim 64 minute running time.

Wong Chi-Ying was the founder of the legendary Po Chi Lam school and was one of the members of the Ten Tigers of Kwangtung (Canton); a group that has been the subject of several Chinese motion pictures.
Although the film's U.S. advertising makes it sound as though it is the latest work from Yuen (the choreographer of "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and "The Matrix"), the film actually pre-dates both of those films.
In almost all Cantonese movies that are set in the Ching dynasty (remember that Hong Kong is a Cantonese-speaking island with deep cultural ties to Canton), the Chings are the villains and the anti-Ching activists are considered the patriotic heroes.

Sequences depicting the training process in excruciating detail are the center of interest in many martial arts films; especially in the unarmed combat pictures that came to define the genre for fans in the West during the “kung fu craze” of the 1970s.
The first works of fiction about Chinese martial heroes date back to the 3rd century, and the oldest surviving Chinese feature film, made in Shanghai in 1925, is a silent swordplay tale.
The soul of the wuxia movie as a genre is closely bound up with the culture of the martial arts schools and the Peking Opera companies that molded its creators and performers and, in a sense, even its characters.
