Those words were spoken by Harvey S. Firestone when the first radio broadcast of the "Voice of Firestone" debuted in 1928.
The "Voice of Firestone," which ran from 1928 to 1963, was very successful and helped showcase the careers of some of the most talented performers of that time, including world famous soprano Rise Stevens, Richard Rogers of Rogers and Hammerstein and singer-actor Nelson Eddy.
The "Voice of Firestone," with its 35-year run, holds the distinction of being the most successful broadcast program of its time.

The Firestone Tire and Rubber Company was founded by Harvey Firestone in the late 19th century to supply pneumatic tires for wagons, buggies, and other forms of wheeled transportation common in the era.
Firestone used this relationship to become the original equipment supplier of Ford Motor Company automobiles, and was also active in the replacement market.
During the 1970s, the Firestone 500 steel-belted radials where known to separate from the tread, usually at high speeds, due to water seeping under the tread, which caused the belting to rust and the treading to separate.
