Also, I saw on this website, that during the Jim Jones incident in Guyana, the kids were forced to watch Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory to take their minds off of the adults drinking the poison(the purple juice or whatever it was called) around them.
I think that the whole Nestle candy company thing came about after the movie was made - but I'm not sure about that either.
