Delay wipers were not available in any of the Chevy or GMC trucks until 1978, and in that year they did a slight redesign of the dash and they changed the wiring around a bit.

Wipers Times - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Wipers Times is the most well-known of the trench magazines that were published by soldiers fighting on the front lines of The Great War.
The reality of life in the trenches rarely breaks through what the editor termed the paper's 'hysterical hilarity' but when it does, the gallows humour is clear and may appear callous to modern eyes.
Publication was held up after February 1918 by the German offensive on the western front in that year, but at the end of the War two issues of "The Better Times" were published.

 Wipers Right Now
Since the first wiper was stocked in the reservoirs of the Heartland more than a quarter of a century ago, their population densities have been scanty.
During that time either individual wipers or small schools of them might be found foraging upon shad on the lake's surface; sashaying along the bottom of a massive flat; lollygagging at the edge of a hump, or suspended and cruising about at various depths.
Across the years, anglers have found the wiper's penchant for gallivanting around countless acres of water to be a devilish challenge in reservoirs as small as 4,000 acres, and an even a greater test in gigantic waterways.

The rubber blade portion of the wiper is replaceable - either as a rubber refill or a complete blade assembly - and has a limited lifespan of just a few years.
If your car has concealed wipers and you can't get access to the blades when the wipers are still, turn on the ignition switch and the wiper switch until the wipers are about halfway up the windshield.
If you prefer to have your car's wiper blades replaced by a service facility, your periodic inspection will ensure that they are replaced before they cause visibility problems in inclement weather.

Task-engineered wipers are invoiced based upon a specific price per case, which means you know how many wipers are in a case and can easily calculate your cost per use.
If a wiper comes in contact with a corrosive, reactive, ignitable or toxic waste, and the wiper/solvent mixture possesses the characteristics when it is disposed, it is a hazardous waste.
In the 48 states that allow oil- and grease-contaminated wipers to be disposed of in municipal landfills, the generator must first confirm that the wipers don’t contain other hazardous wastes or free liquid (i.e., the wipers don’t drip).

Raw, abrasive and hard-hitting, it's come to be considered such a touchstone in Northwest punk/grunge history that Sub Pop reissued it (adding the three non-LP B-sides from Alien Boy) fourteen years later, after Nirvana covered not one, but two, of its songs.
The album actually includes one of the band's rare, unabashed pop songs in "Time Marches On" and closes with the slow, somber shudder of three completely different-sounding songs: "Goodbye Again," "Be There" and "Blue and Red." Beautiful.
Rather, with characteristic independence, Sage went even prettier, spacier and moodier than his previous work in order to get away from the public desire for him to rock out with his new crop of admirers.

 Wipers Album Reviews
It’s hard to describe The Wipers’ music: on the one hand, it’s a blood-raw merger of rudimentary rhythms and sounds, but underneath it, there’s always a key melody, vocal line or other idea that’ll stick with you for a long time.
Youth of America is often considered The Wipers’ ultimate statement, and although it’s easy to understand why (the two lengthy guitar workouts that dominate the album are spectacular), it does not really deserve all of the praise as it kinda slumps down halfway.
It took the Wipers (on this album: Sage, bassist Brad Davidson and drummer Steve Plouf) three years to release this album and even though that's quite long for an album of a good half hour of plain guitar-rock, it also shows they've mastered their "new" style perfectly.

Eye Weekly - The power in the Wipers - 02.17.00
It struck me that it would be suitable to put out the last Wipers record under the same pretense I started with, by not having to answer to anybody.
People in the neighbourhood assumed the Wipers would be the next big thing after Nirvana broke (Kurt Cobain admitted to being powerfully affected by Sage's style), but they underestimated Sage's tenacity in upholding his ideals.
There may be fewer indie rock kids now, since the influence of music video seems to have performed a kind of synesthesia on music and turned it into dancing, but at least Sage can reach the world in a way that is not vetted through someone else's record company.

 Punch and The Wipers Times
Ivenlaw-Chapman claims that “the target audience of The Wipers Times was young officers in the 19-22 age group, of good background and education, who were well indoctrinated with the Christian ethics of the day and who were constantly aware of their responsibilities as gentlemen” (p.67).
The paper was produced by young middle-class officers, and their ideologies are apparent in the regular articles of the paper both in terms of style and contents.
The first is that the submissions emulate articles within the Wipers Times and do not demonstrate such a strong educated background, and the second is their apparent lack of irony; a bluntness in the text which came from the need to express oneself after the constant stress and pressure which came from active service.

Mass DEP :: Waste Manageent Guidance for Industrial Wipers and Sorptive Minerals
For industrial wipers, the one drop determination shall be made by "wringing" the rags out by hand or by some other mechanical compaction method.
If it is apparent that the industrial wipers or sorptive minerals are non-saturated, testing may not be necessary, though generators remain responsible for proving that their waste can pass the one drop test.
Materials that Pass the One Drop Test: Waste oil/sorptive mineral mixtures and industrial wipers that pass the one drop test, and which are used only when it is not feasible or practical to collect the waste oil as a liquid, are not hazardous waste, and therefore have several waste management options as a solid waste.

Since forming his band, Wipers, in Portland, OR, in the late '70s, Sage has been put through the ringer more than enough to justify his hermetic operating methods and attitude.
While most of his devout fans consider it a travesty that his name isn't as known as a contemporary like Bob Mould or even an unabashed fan-boy turned legend like Kurt Cobain, Sage would likely retort that it's not for the notoriety that he began making music.
