 Cub Scout Advancement Chair Guide
The Committee strongly recommends that each Pack maintain an individual Cub Scout record on the form which can be found at the end of this handbook, as well as an advancement record on the form which is also at the end of this handbook.
After a Cub has earned the Wolf Badge, he is encouraged to work on the 22 Wolf electives until he completes second grade (or turns 9 years old).

CUB SCOUT RANK REQUIREMENTS - The Virtual Cub Scout Leader's Handbook
After a boy has completed the fourth grade and earned the Webelos badge, the next step on the Webelos trail to becoming a Boy Scout is earning the Arrow of Light Award.
As a boy works on the Arrow of Light, he gets a chance to practice some Scout skills that he has already learned, earn more Activity Badges, and REALLY learn what a Boy Scout is. Because this award is so special, a special ceremony should always be performed by the Pack!
Advancement is the process by which a boy progresses from badge to badge, learning new skills as he goes.

"What are the Pinewood Derby Rules?" - The Virtual Cub Scout Leader's Handbook
Now out of print, the "Cub Scout Grand Prix Pinewood Derby Guidebook" (BSA No. 33721) included a set of rules as well as car designs, car accessories, a PWD song, and some parental "coaching" hints on sportsmanship.
These rules not only meet the needs of their seasoned Webelos families, but also give new Tiger and Wolf families a good guide for their first Pinewood Derby.
As you know, the Pinewood Committee has the final say on the rules.
