The Workshop consists of BCC students with a desire to explore the artistry of the live theatre, and is mentored by a full-time Faculty member with experience in both professional and educational theatre practices.
Theatre Workshop officers are voted into service by their peers during the first session of the semester.
In this way, Theatre Workshop meets the needs of students who lack the necessary time to rehearse an entire play as well as those who are willing to dedicate a great deal of their free time to the performance of a fully-rehearsed theatrical production.

It was in 1993 that the Cave Hill Theatre Workshop (CHTW) was formed in order to promote and encourage high-quality theatre on Campus.
Its founder members were all students in the newly established E240 Drama and Theatre Arts course taught in the Department of Literatures in English (as the department was called at the time).
This was crucial to the nature of the piece for it held the stereotypes of "femininity" under scrutiny in presenting the many faces of 'woman'.
