		Themeparks LLC entered into a memorandum of agreement in October of 2002 that gave the company a first shot at building a theme park in the county.
		Themeparks LLC spokesperson Beau Berni said because the venture is very capital intensive it would require a partner in financing.
		Sears said the first proposal was just a “first stab” at a public/private partnership between Themeparks LLC and Wilson County and that there are several avenues with regards to issuing bonds.

		Screamscape at http://www.screamscape.com is reporting that Team Pro Parks LLC, who currently operate a water park in Texas, have purchased the park for $5.25m.
		The new owners have agreed to spend $1m on installing a new wave pool in the water park, and an additional $1.5m on general improvements and maintenance to enable the park to fully open in 2003.
		Themeparks LLC has offered $4m whilst Team ProParks LLC also bid, but would not reveal the amount.

		The president of Louisville-based Themeparks LLC said the firm may offer to buy VisionLand and make $20 million in improvements to the theme park.
		Themeparks president Ed Hart told The Birmingham News for a story Sunday that he's convinced VisionLand can be a success with the right management and new rides.
		He said it is realistic to expect VisionLand to draw between 700,000 and one million visitors a year, making it profitable.

		The results could help lay the groundwork for a deal between the county and Louisville, Ky.-based Themeparks LLC, which has been looking for about a year to build a theme park in the Nashville area.

		Ride Expansion Planned at Magic Springs/Crystal Falls -- Themeparks LLC, which operates the combination Magic Springs/Crystal Falls theme and water parks at Hot Springs, has announced plans to unveil by Memorial Day 2005 its new "Plummet Summit," a $2-million, shoot-the-chute splash ride capable of carrying 1,000 passengers per hour.
		Dan Aylward, COO of Themeparks, said, "The ride will be the biggest of its kind in our region." The new ride will feature two 19-foot, 20-passenger boats that will be transported to the top of a 50-foot hill, where they will be released into a down-chute with a 180-degree curve.
		The boats will accelerate to approximately 34 miles an hour as they traverse the chute, before creating a huge splash upon reaching the bottom.
